Knowing Bacteria Vaginosis

Bacteria vaginosis is the most common type of vaginal infection. It is a mild infection cause by bad bacteria. It is a mild problem that will go away on its own after a few days. Though in advance cases bacteria vaginosis can lead to severe problem such as, abortion and miscarriage.
Bacteria vaginosis are cause by the following,
• Having sexual contact to different partners
• Having a same sex partner. Female to female
• Smoking and douching
Prevention is very simple. If you are hit by bacteria vaginosis, avoid having sexual contact to different partners. Bacteria vaginosis is more common to women who are sexually active. But this bacteria is not something that you get from your partner just like in STD. It is your own bad bacteria producing too much. Remember bacteria vaginosis is NOT sexually transmittable disease.
You will know whether you have bacteria vaginosis if you are experiencing the following,
• Smelly vaginal discharge, the discharge may appear grayish or yellowish
• Fishy smell only gets worst after sexual contact
• Itching
There are several aspects to consider vaginal discharge; it could be STD or infection. When you have bacteria vaginosis during pregnancy the following problems may arise.
• It increases the risk of miscarriage and other serious problem later during pregnancy
• Pelvic infection is most likely to happen
• When you have a bacteria vaginosis and you come in contact with HIV person, the chance of getting HIV is very high.
An anti biotic can help prevent bacteria vaginosis but if you are pregnant, anti biotic is not recommended. Here are some guide lines for you to prevent the on set of bacteria vaginosis,
• Stay with one partner only.
• Refrain from having same sex intimacy
• Avoid drinking alcohol
The use of condoms for both male and female is not advisable. The liquid form in condoms can worsen bacteria vaginosis.
