Does your baby have a habit to wake for two or more time during night? Do you hold your baby in your lap to help him to soothe? Do you wake up several times in night to soothe your baby? If so, now is a wonderful opportunity for you to teach your baby to self soothed without using pacifiers, breast, milk bottle or rocking and swaying. Teaching your baby to self soothed is not only good for the baby but it is also good for parents as well. Here are some tips for you.
•Establish a good bed time routine for your baby that makes sense and the one which you wants to follow strictly for your baby and the for whole family as well. Before putting your baby to bed, try out all the rituals that are important for your baby. Give your baby a nice warm bath, nurse your baby or bottle feed him for the last time before taking him to bed to help him to sleep. Give your baby a pacifier or stuffed animals, sing lullabies or sweet songs to your baby, read a book to him and than say a good bye to him.
•If your baby has a habit to cuddle with his toy than the toy should be on your baby’s bed.
•Always check your baby’s diaper before making him to fall asleep.  |
