Pregnancy can be very difficult sometimes especially if you are in the bracket of high risk of pregnancy. Pregnancy high risks comes in many forms, it can be health, age and traumatic experience. A Woman with health condition is the most common to develop a high risk pregnancy. But common it may seem, there are preventive measures for this.
Among health conditions for risks pregnancy are the following,
• Heart ailments. If you are suffering from heart ailments it is best to consult a Doctor before having a pregnancy. When a woman is pregnant, a change in heart and blood vessel function happens blood volume increases and there is an increase in cardiovascular output. The heart rate is also increased but there is a decrease in blood pressure. Although this is perfectly normal during pregnancy but if you suffer from heart ailments the case may not be the same.
• Kidney problems. Kidney trouble may affect the baby in later stage. Pre eclampsia is most likely to develop to pregnant mother with kidney problem. A baby born with pre eclampsia suffers from low birth weight.
• Auto immune disorder. Our immune system protects our body from harmful elements that intrudes our body. Auto immune disorder is a disease of the body that produce wrong immunity and fights against its own tissues, thus instead of protecting our body, it helps destroy our immunity.
• Sexually transmittable Diseases. Sexually transmittable diseases are a bad omen to babies. A baby born while her mother has gonorrhea is most likely to get blind because of gonorrheal infection.
• Diabetes. Diabetes during pregnancy can interfere with the health of both mother and child. The unborn baby may suffer from birth defect, usually physical defect. To mother, it may cause a serious complications of pregnancy such as miscarriage and still birth.
• Cancer. Cancer patients who are pregnant may have little chance of survival.  |
