We have discussed about pregnancy bleeding that occurs from first month to five months of pregnancy. We learned that bleeding during the first half of pregnancy is mostly genetic in nature. In this article we are going to discus Pregnancy bleeding on the later part of pregnancy, from six months to nine months.
In later part of pregnancy, the common cause of minor bleeding is when our cervix is inflamed. Aside from that, any other bleeding of pregnancy is a positive sign that problem arises. When bleeding arises, do not hesitate to consult a Doctor right away.
Below are some reasons why you experience bleeding on the later part of pregnancy,
• Placental Abruption. Placental abruption is caused by too much amniotic fluid in the amniotic sac where in the placenta is detached to the uterine wall. Signs of placental abruption are the following,
o Vaginal Bleeding
o Sharp pain in the lower abdominal area
o Elevated blood pressure
• Placenta Previa. The cause bleeding happens when the placenta lies on the lower uterine area. The pressure from the growing uterus. The correct position of placenta should be on the upper side of the uterus. A woman who has multiple gravida (pregnancy) is most likely to develop placenta previa. Signs of Placenta Previa are the following,
o Vaginal bleeding
o Bleeding is excessive but painless
• Pre term labor. In many cases, labor begins with blood. This may mean a painful labor but do not orry everthing is perfectly normal. But pre term labor is different; in here you bleed without reaching the full term of pregnancy. When you know that you bleed prior to your full term pregnancy (nine months), immediately call the attention of a Doctor. Below are signs of a pre term labor.
o Vaginal bleeding
o Mucus discharge
o A slight pain felt on the lower back
o Stomach cramps
o Uterine and pelvic contraction  |
