SID is the major cause of death among infants in US and lots of children die due to infant death syndrome between the age of one month and one year. Sid is also known as an infant death syndrome and it is common among all classes of USA and it is common among all social, ethnical and economical group in USA.

The causes of Sid are not related to suffocation neither it is contagious or hereditary disease but it is involved to cause the death of hundreds of infants between the ages of one month to one year. Parents try their best to prevent Sid’s to happen by following preventive measures and right method by placing their babies on their back to sleep. Side sleeping also helps a lot to drop down the risk of Sid deaths.

American Academy of Pediatrics has worked a lot to spread the awareness among the US citizens about Sid death and due to effective awareness campaign Sid death rate is effectively reduced to 50%.
