Pregnant moms are strictly warned not to smoke because babies of smoker’s moms are at high risk for SIDS but it is unfortunate that lots of moms do not listen to their doctor’s advice and they deliberately put their babies into danger. It has been observed through research that smoking moms have premature babies and they develop more slowly than babies of non smoker’s mothers.

Premature babies have to face several problems with their health, lots of babies have not fully developed lungs, and they have poor digestive system that will not let them to digest anything. Smoking moms have really a hard time during pregnancy because most of the time their oxygen level drop down and they feel difficult to breath.

Premature babies have higher risk for SIDS that is why it is advised by American Association of Pediatrics to quit smoking before having a pregnancy because you have to realize that you are going to create the most precious thing in your life which will be the source of happiness in your life.
