Some exercises that relieve backache during pregnancy
Pregnancy is a time of physical and emotional changes. Along with those changes, you will also suffer from back ache which is part of the discomforting feelings of a pregnant woman. Back ache is not due to hormonal changes but rather it is cause by pressure of the growing uterus or often times due to your position when lying down when sleeping.
Another thing that triggers a lower back pain is the progressive curvature in the lower spine which is normally happen when the fetus grow to its full term. Sitting and lying is hard to do when you are on the third trimester of pregnancy. Often times this hardship will disposition your body and back ache happens.
Back ache usually occur during the third trimester of pregnancy when your tummy is already big and it is no fun at all. But this discomfort can be relieved by strengthening the muscles and stretching exercises. Find below exercises that can help to relieve back ache while pregnant.
• Swimming. I do not mean swimming like the regular swimming that you float and dive. No not that thing. All you have to do is try to stay in a pool, make sure the water is on shoulder level. Hold the bars then slowly kick across the water eight counts left and eight counts right. Rest a while and see if you can do more. Kicking in the water will strengthen your lower back and thigh. But be careful not to tire your self much. Water is fun because you will feel light while you are in it.
• Yoga. Sit down on the floor with your knees bent and your arms resting on the floor too. Head up and inhale exhale. Repeat exercises.
Now that you have an idea on how to relieve back pain, do this also. Take a warm shower. Warm water helps you release tension from your spine. It would be better to adjust the heat of the shower; a bit hotter is good as long as it will not let your skin burn.
