Before you knew it, your child is like a pound of energy, so full of life and so active. Your child now is ready to go to school and be with other children her age. Your child is on its first step in fulfilling her dreams; give her a secure beginning as your child traverse to the world of schools and assignments.
At school, she can listen quite a little longer but wants to have more play than listening. A kindergarten age is a time of exploring more and learning more. A child learns to recognize her responsibility as a person and as a member of the family.
She can now relate to a story that was spoken by someone. She can tell longer stories and very conversant. As your child enters kindergarten, she knows the value of time and can even be conscious about time. She wants to be with friends. Five year old children always seek company of their fellow peers. They feel confident and happy when friends are around.
They are now aware of sexuality. They are now a bit shy of their body and feelings towards the opposite sex. They can be demanding at some point and may even have tantrums when their wants are not properly addressed but can also be considerate and listens to explanations.
Even though they are more demanding, they can also be cooperative and helpful to the extent that they want to do all the works they see. They can also now distinguished real happenings from imaginations and fantasy. They are not anymore afraid of monsters; they knew it’s just a fantasy and product of imagination. A five years old child would like to be part of an event always, like for example at home whenever there are happenings, they want to be involved, and they are happy if you let them be part of any activities.  |
