Children can take things seriously and can understand so many things. They can now make comparison to many objects and even situation. They can follow instructions and give simple instructions to play mates also. A four year old child can describe a real happening like when your child is out she can describe and tell story about the things she saw and encounter.
During four years old, a child mental development is maturing. At this stage, a child can imagine things, like building a castle, be a pilot someday, drive a car, something that builds up her dream.
During its four years old, a child comes into preparation for school. She can hold scissors and cut through the lines. She now talks about her ambition when she grows up. A four year old child can now count correctly and can distinguish colors. The imagination is more of a fantasy like she is a princess or he is a super hero.
A four years old child is an exploratory stage. Your child likes to explore about anything and would love activities that will give him or her new experiences like riding in a horse going to places she thought would be impossible.
Your child can wear and remove clothes alone and even chooses her own style. She can takes care of her self like bathing alone, though in some points you still have to guide your child.
A four years old child can learn wide vocabulary; in fact they can easily adapt to what elders are saying and follow them. This is the time also that your child becomes curious and would ask so many questions. Some questions are base on what they saw but most of the time questions asked are about his or her imagination.
This is the time also when you can start teaching your child to do simple household chores. She can do sweeping with guidance of course, can also file books.
