Gardening is one of the most interesting activities which help the teachers of the care center to introduce young one to some basic concepts of science. Staff of the care center let the children to grow fruits and vegetable from seeds and through this children will get the idea that all plants develop from seeds and all tiny plants grow to form bigger shrubs and trees. To clear the concept of seedling, a teacher can take egg shells and ask the children to put some soil in it with the help of a teaspoon and than add seeds into it and water the egg shells with the help of tea spoon. Children can learn to grow seeds of lettuce, radish, turnip, and peas and can learn a lot about seedling with the help of egg shell activity. Teacher can also tell the students about the importance of green vegetables and should also tell the kids that why it is important to add green vegetables in our meal? Teacher can show them the cartoon show “Popeye the sailor man” to enhance the importance of spinach in their daily life.
