If a care provider is taking care of an infant than he/she should establish special food and nutrition policy for infant because infants don’t follow any kind of eating schedule, they need to feed frequently. So a right day care should train their staff to know about the feeding requirements of infants. Parents who want to breast feed their babies should provide the facility in a day care to breast feed their babies during their free working hours.
Sometimes mother express their milk with a breast pump and than store it in bottles and provide this milk to the day care center or a home to feed their baby. Therefore certain type of arrangements should be made to feed mother’s milk or formula milk provided by the parents to the baby before the baby feels hunger and begins to cry.
Other important consideration for infants is that they should not be left alone by a care provider because they can get neglected and can not tell anyone what they want. So it is the duty of a care provider to look after the infants well and try to soothe them and make them happy. A care provider should be trained to know how to make bottles for the baby and how to change and feed them.
