What precautionary measures should you follow while introducing your baby to swim?

It is extremely important for you to ensure about the safety of your baby when you will introduce swimming to him. Here are some of the important precautionary measures that you should follow while introducing your baby to swim.

•If you are taking the help of swimming instructors to help you to teach your baby swimming then ask your baby’s swimming instructor o check the temperature of the pool for you.

•Let your baby to enjoy the feeling of water and encourage him to stay in water as long as he can but if you feel that your baby is feeling cold and he has started to shiver as well, take him out of the water and wrap him immediately in warm clothes.

•If your baby is younger then 1 year then it’s good to divide swimming lessons into small session. Each lesson should consist of 10 minutes in the beginning. You can increase the duration of a swimming lesson for 15 and for 20 minutes as well. Do not place children under the age of 1 year for more than 30 minutes in water.
