Well, as you have already started to feed cereals to your baby, now it's the time to feed cooked food to your baby as well. You can start with boiled and mashed vegetables like mashed potato, sweet potato and you can feed boiled egg, peas, carrots and squash as well to your baby. Make sure that your baby is digesting the new food well. It is recommended that you should introduce one new solid food at one time because it will minimize the chances of allergy.
You can also use jarred food as well if your doctor recommends you. Start to feed fruits as well to your baby like mashed bananas and peaches as well. Do not give your baby fried food until he is at least 8 or 9 months old. You can give fruit juices to your little infant as well. Just mix 2 table spoons of fruit juice in one cup of water and let your baby to drink it. Do not introduce meat too early at this stage.  |
