Parenting course start baby on solic foods
Should I start with vegetables before fruits?

Some people believe that parents should start with vegetables so that babies get an idea that food can be taste differently as well. By introducing sweet food to your baby, baby will figure out that the food can only be taste sweet and he may not like to taste vegetables after tasting fruits. Well, it’s only a theory which is bit difficult to practice because babies don’t like to taste veggies first. They rather spit out veggies or they will keep their mouth tightly closed when moms offer them food other then fruits.

Another reason to introduce sweet food to your baby is, your baby is born with sweet tooth. His taste buds will more likely to taste the sweet food as he is already taking breastfeed which has natural sugar in it. Therefore your baby will love to taste sweet food first which means fruits first rather then vegetables. You can start with mashed bananas and then you can introduce sweet potatoes to your baby as well.

Once your baby starts to digest these fruits, you can introduce veggies to him as well. Make sure that you choose carrots and sweet potatoes first because your baby will love them.
