Parenting course start baby on solic foods
Which foods are best to begin with?

Well, it’s the most frequent question that parents usually ask to their pediatricians from time to time. The best answer of this question is, you should always begin with foods that almost look like the milk which your baby is already digesting. If your baby is on breast feeding then you should start with something sweet like mashed banana because mother’s milk has natural sugar in it and if you will introduce sweet and mashed banana to your baby then he would love to eat this.

If your baby is more prone to formula milk then you should always start with the rice cereal. When I started to introduce solid, I used to mix 1 spoon of rice cereal with formula milk. Don’t give too think cereal to your baby. I used to use a feeding nipple that has a little bid wide pore so that milk with rice cereal grains can easily pass through it.

Make a close observation, whether your baby is digesting this little amount of cereal or not. If your baby prefers breast milk then maybe he likes banana cereal more then rice cereal. Start with rice cereal because it is low in protein, easily digestible, high in carbohydrates and it’s intestinal friendly as well.
