Well, it’s best to take cue from your child’s behavior rather then watching a certain type of calendar to start solid to your baby. Here are few cues that can help you to understand that your baby is almost ready for solids.
•Your baby can easily sit and he started to grab things, toys with his hands. He is beginning to put his hands into his mouth, beginning to grab his tongue as well.
•If your baby watches you while you eat and if he follows your fork or spoon or smiles when you show him food.
•If he “Mooches” and really try hard to reach out the plate.
•If he begin to grab the fork, mimic your eating behavior like if he open his mouth wide exactly like if he is eating something.
•Your baby can even sign you in positive way that he wants to eat some more food. You can also judge your child’ behavior if he pushes you towards the food or pointing towards it, it means that he is definitely ready for solids. |
