Babysister First Aid and CPR Training
First aid for a Chocking baby or a toddler

Babysitters should watch toddlers carefully because as they grow they become more hyper and most of the times they get cut and can have a bad injury during grabbing something dangerous. Sometimes they engulf a large piece of food or a small toy and start chocking.

If your baby choke turn him over and make sure that is forehead is lower than his body and his neck and the back is well supported and than give him a five fast blows on his back to clean his air passage. Remove the piece from his throat by putting your fingers carefully into his throat. Do not try to put the finger too deeply into the throat it can cause more pain to the baby and make him difficult to breathe as well.

If the baby does not show any response to you than turn him over on his back and use 2 fingertips to push inwards and upwards to give him chest thrust. If he still doe not showing any response give him a CPR (cardio-pulmonary _resuscitation) and call to 911 for immediate help.
